Exodus goes through PITA
Each frame of Ridley Scott production, which will be realsed in all the cinemas around the world on the next 5th December, went through one of the rooms of the Pita which can bee seen in this corridor. I didn’t want to make the photo lighter because I like the chiaroscuro of this photo taken against the light. There is nothing inside this room, the shooting finished, they took their things and left some months ago. They chose PITA because of its supersonic speed conection, so every thing which was filmed in any part of the location situated in Almeria passed through this room of Pitagoras at PITA and from here they were sent quickly to another part of the planet where the last part of this super production started: the editing.
I know this is not about agriculture, unless the location is the PITA, closely linked to the agro development. The thing is i would like to write about other subjets either history, cinema, philosophy…even politics, take a look at the more unique place to escape as a tourist or share with you any melody with any special meaning. What would you think about opening sporadically the blog to another subjets? I can maybe spend sundays on devoting a post to other matters which make us forget the routine andproject us a bit of joy and amplitude of greater vision of our spirit. They say when something works, it’s better not to change anything. This is why i am loath to innovate in the blog. But it’s not for lack of energy and ideas. So, I let you decide. You, readers, justify the existence of this blog. What shall I do? Amplify it? Those of you who are on the receiving end.
Following the simile of the biblical film, it’s curious that the decorative elements which have been choosen in the PITA auditorium were pyramids. Actually, these icons of ancient Egypt occupy the entire central building. I asked Enrique Cabezas, responsible for the business development and who guided me in this visit and told me that it was because they were of pleasure to the architecht on taste.
Enrique, the above photo, is a faithful reader of the blog. He sent me an email to show me what you I show you here. Rafael is also an asiduous reader of this page, general manager and a person with a great sense of humour. Evidenced during the time I spent with him. Not less than two hours. Rafael insisted that I figured in more photos since I appear in very few photographs. He’s right but I prefer to show myself. It was Enrique who chicked the camera.
The silence of the paper or the criticisms of the internet
I think Rafael is a brave man. As a good connoisseur of the blog, he should know that the most commets are critical when I talk about innovation, investigation or technologie. For him it must be more confortable to flee any possible critics, even if it is constructive, although he receives me bravely with the interesting of my relating what I consider current affairs in this blog.
My applause precide me, it’s easier to appear in a newspapper where there are no possibility of knowing the reader’s opinion and the information goes in one only direction, the sender. There are two directions here, that of the journalist and the readers. And who unmask is more respectable than who hide behind the archaic media.
Both Rafael and Enrique described me the futures of the development of the Almeria technopark, situated next to the Mediterranean highway. In the above photo you can see the plots which will be occupied with some of the new six buildings in the next months. A half dozen of new companies have confirmed the disembarkment.
In the previous scaled model you can see more precisely the occupied areas, the name of the companies and the non occupied spaces with their pertinent meters. The Pitagoras is the main building. 10,000 squared meters, 4,000 meters for letting and the 6,000 left for services to the companies. In addition, you can see Cajamar’s building in the last stage, they will have technological servies, including IBM. They foresee 200 informatic employees.
They services they lean in Pitagoras are related to the internationalization, technological transfers, business development, …. there are 60 companies set up in this building, the last one was Unica Group. They have all the sales staff there.
For the companies that want to set up in Pita and they dont have the capacity of Unica, they have thought of a more economic way, it’s aimed above all at entrepreneur. It is co-working.Several little companies can work together in this room and they can make synergies between them.
After Pita stay Junta de Andalucia (40%), Cajamar (30%), Unicaja (30%) and with a symbolical amount University of Almeria, Tecnova and Townhall.
